**About this job**:
Unison Welfare provides welfare services that support UNISON members and their families at times of unexpected hardship and personal difficulty. We are a unique organisation providing invaluable assistance to members in need who may otherwise have nowhere to turn.

For this position you will have experience of supporting people gained in a similar grant giving, information or advice position.

As part of the Casework Team, you will provide support to members of UNISON who are in financial difficulty or need advice and guidance, and/or signposting to other organisations.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional, empathetic, and courteous manner. You will be highly motivated with a can-do approach.

The aim of our service is not to solve all the issues that members are facing ourselves, but to work with them to overcome life’s challenges and linking them in with other services that are best placed to help.

You will have a key role in making a significant difference to the lives of UNISON members.
