**The Vacancy**

To advise on Health, Safety and Environmental issues and to assist the Group Head of Health, Safety and Environmental in the development of policy and practice. To ensure that in all areas of the Torus Group are identified and managed. To promote and develop a positive health and safety culture throughout the Group. To ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and standards.

**This is an important role in which you will**:

- Implement relevant health and safety legislation and associated Codes of Practice within Torus Group.
- To develop and undertake risk assessments as necessary for all areas of Torus Group.
- To develop safe systems of work for all operations and functions across the business.
- To devise an annual audit programme.
- To ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and diseases are properly reported, recorded and investigated with a view to recommending action to prevent recurrence. To include reporting, as appropriate to the Health and Safety Executive.
- To develop and deliver, in association with authorised providers, training sessions on Health, Safety and Environmental to a wide variety of audiences within the Torus Group.
- To liaise with the Health and Safety Executive and other professional safety organisations as necessary.
- Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Ensure that the Health, Safety and Environmental policy and procedures are adhered to and embedded to deliver effective and safe services and operations.
- To demonstrate support for the Torus Groups Health, Safety and Environmental Policy ensuring that it is adhered to in the post holder’s areas of responsibility.
- To undertake other activities identified from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.
