A quick look at the role The Health & Safety Business Partner is responsible for providing professional health and safety support to operational sites across the North East. This will include health and safety systems, communications, internal/external assurance programmes, and delivery of health and safety projects.
Your core responsibilities

  1. Partner the business to collaboratively deliver the vision, mission, and balanced business plan for Health & Safety
  2. Provide expert advice to help the business implement effective H&S risk controls
  3. Use specialist knowledge and understanding of risk profiles to provide assurance to internal stakeholders
  4. Impart specialist H&S knowledge to others through education, communication, and training
  5. Partner operational colleagues to develop and implement H&S improvement plans
  6. Advocate organizational learning by using the TopSet methodology for root cause analysis for incident investigations
  7. Collate and interpret data to provide detailed and accurate insight to operational colleagues that they can act upon to help the business continually reduce the likelihood and severity of workplace harm
Our essential requirements
  1. A recognized NEBOSH qualification and professional status
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a demonstrably similar role
  3. Confident with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
