**Business Development Manager**

**Salary £35-45,000 + Benefits**

Our client, a leading Law firm, is looking to recruit a strategic Business Development Manager to work within a Consultative and proactive role, working closely with the Head of Marketing. Working across the Bradford and Leeds offices, this is a great opportunity,should you work within a similar Sales or Business Development Management role currently, within a professional services firm. Ths is not in any way a "hard sell" role but is much more about working strategically with Partners in the firm to guide, adviseand lead on new Sales and the overall Business development strategy. You will report into the COO and will work collaboratively with Partners within the firm to support with meeting commercial objectives for the business.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- Working with existing clients to really build on and strengthen key relationships
- Proactively working with new clients, using autonomy in relation to preferred contact methods to follow up on and develop new business opportunities
- Working closely with the Marketing team and across varying legal disciplines to define new business approaches
- Attending varying Networking events to represent the firm
- Involved with tender preparation, setting the agenda and discussing pitch/proposal approach with varying stakeholders internally
- Preparing Award submissions and researching which to be involved with
- Producing an upward flow of management information and reports
- Researching to identify new markets and customer needs
- Attending Partnership meetings to share best practice and to champion the firm's brand and tone both with internal and external communication

**Experience & Skills required**:

- You will have experience of working within a similar Marketing or Business development role within the legal or professional service sector
- A real people person who is confident communicating with confidence at all levels to build those vital relationships at a senior level
- Excellent influencing skills, able to articulate the importance of your role across the firm
- Superb commercial acumen and able to demonstrate a strategic approach to your work
- Able to conduct effective research and be aware of evolving business issues and developments and see possible opportunities for the firm
- Able to produce pitches, tenders and presentation information across the business
- A client centric focus to your work and your communication to be friendly, helpful and positive within all areas of your work
- Excellent IT skills, used to working effectively with a CRM and strong Microsoft Office skills
- The CIM Advanced certificate would be desirable or a similar recognised marketing or business qualification
