**Description**:
The Strategy and Planning Principal is responsible for the provision of expert knowledge and is one of the leaders developing, communicating and implementing Vodafones strategy for the entire Vodafone Group and helps leading the planning process around the delivery of strategic initiatives. Shares leadership responsibility with seniors for high profile projects (e.g. Digital First programme - to deliver the most engaging customer experience, and transform Vodafone into a proper agile organization) for the Executive Committee (ExCo) and working closely with Marketing and Technology teams across all markets. The Strategy and Planning Principal focusses upon planning activities for the delivery of the strategic and planning objectives. Typically reports to the Head of Strategy and Planning.

**Job Responsibility**:

- Influences strategic decision making related to ExCos strategic direction, and ensures execution is in collaboration with Group and local markets;
- Leads the delivery of planning and developing full end to end projects that focus on the most strategic topics, setting the future direction of the business;
- Uses advanced analytical thought to help identify opportunities and threats across the industry and technology landscape;
- Contributes to the definition and coordination of the Group annual strategy process, transforming strategy into actions, defining and tracking progress against strategic priorities and identifying and asking key questions;
- Helps coordinate the monthly reporting of commercial KPIs, including insights, to the Vodafone Group Executive Committee and Board;
- Socialises, (with ExCo/Strategy Community), current thinking on market trends and implications and challenges ideas to arrive at new opportunities for the business;
- Builds strong relations and helps share the progress of the digital journey with key stakeholders and identifies opportunities and risks to support Group and Local Markets in the delivery of the overall programme;
- Contributes towards establishing KPIs and reporting and identifies resourcing, capability and organisational changes to ensure delivery;
- Helps ensure coordination of events amongst community members to drive collaboration and information sharing;
- Supports coordination and alignment of the commercial KPIs and tracks progress challenging performance where needed;
- Acts as one of the transformation agents for Digital First defining the ambition, timeframes and priorities for the Digital programme, monitoring external trends and re-setting the internal ambition as the journey develops;
- Champions best practice and implements effective governance around strategic programmes;
May share responsibility for the annual budgeting process across/within market/s.
