Nodens Manor is looking to recruit Night Team Leader in Lydney town.

Nodens Manor is the perfect addition to Lydney’s senior living landscape, with 66 ensuite rooms. Within easy reach of local shops and only a short journey from the town of Gloucester and Chepstow, Nodens Manor is nestled at the edge of the Wye Valley and is a short drive over the English border. With the both the Forest of Dean and the River Severn nearby, Nodens Manor is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

The home’s name is deeply steeped in history, giving a nod to two great civilisations - the Romans and the Celts. Nodens Manor takes its inspiration from the Roman-built temple in nearby Lydney Park. Lord of the Rings author, J. R. R. Tolkien, was invited to examine a Latin inscription at the site and has linked the name Nodens back to Nuada, a Celtic healing god worshipped in Ancient Britain. The site at Lydney Park is said to have inspired Moria and Eregion in Tolkien’s Middle Earth.

We are now approaching our first phase of commissioning and are looking to build on the staff team at Nodens Manor to start building relationship within a new home

We are seeking to start our brand new team and we are looking for a great people to join in Night Team Leader role at Nodens Manor

Contract : Job Types: Full time, 42hr a week Contract, working 12 hour shifts on a 3 on and 3 off pattern based on the 6 week rolling rota

**Job purpose - **To plan, monitor and deliver the highest standards of personalised care to residents, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, and that individual’s rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met. To supervise and evaluate the care delivered to residents always ensuring that legal and care home standards are met.

**Key Responsibilities**

To act as the person in charge of the home out of office hours or in the absence of the General or Assistant General Manager ensuring that legislation is adhered to and standards are maintained.

To provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive. To act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring that these responsibilities are carried out in full.

Responsible for; understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements that are relevant, including; Health & Safety, COSHH, all aspects of the Health & Social Care Act to ensure that all care teams and other staff maintain a safe environment throughout the home. Understand and have an awareness of Infection Control.

To participate in the formulation of individual care plans for each resident and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.

To always be alert to residents physical and mental well being, immediately dealing with and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition. Liaising with other care professionals as required, and ensuring that all records are updated accurately.

To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, this includes resident’s behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur in the course of day-to-day care and to ensure that all care teams and other staff understand and respect this.

Ensure that all care teams and other staff are understanding and patient towards residents and their needs, and encourage, assist and support residents to participate in leisure activities as appropriate to the individual, ensuring their social and emotional needs are met. Occasionally escorting residents to outside appointments and leisure outings.

Undertaking general care assistant duties throughout the home as needed.

To be an active and encouraging senior member of the care team, responsible for running team meetings, ensuring good communication and leading the induction and training of newly appointed care assistants and the care home is a friendly and supportive working environment.

To lead the care team to support the Lifestyle team with activities.

To be able to undertake other tasks deemed appropriate by the General Manager.
