Sawyer

Forest of Dean Stone Firms, part of Lovell Stone Group, quarries and processes Forest Pennant Sandstone for projects all over the UK. We are expanding our team and looking to recruit a Sawyer on a full-time, permanent contract.

The role, Sawyer, will be working in our new Paving Factory on the paving line, in the following shift pattern; 6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am, Monday to Thursday. Currently, the team is working 48 hours per week (40 hours standard and 8 hours time and half)

No experience is necessary although previous knowledge of working with natural stone would be beneficial. Full training and PPE will be provided.

Holiday: 20 days plus statutory bank holidays

Supplement shift allowance for night shifts (2 week rotation)

Starting rate will be £11.44* per hour.

18 - 20 years: starting rates are based on National Living Wage and will be reviewed on successful completion of the probation period.
