This post has a key role to play in supporting service users with Education Training and Employment Opportunities and to link them in with the existing recovery community in Islington. To enhance their recovery and offer something truly exceptional to all our service users. Alongside our aftercare support team this role will focus and take an innovative and ambitious approach to what recovery can mean to individuals and communities in Islington. To build on service users voices within the service and to include them in our ongoing development of a recovery community.

The post holder will support service users with opportunities to explore and signpost to Education, Training and Employment that interests them and to support their onward recovery. They will significantly build on and develop links within Islington to offer something truly innovative and person centred for the individual building a care plan that identifies goals and plans. Through work with local recovery orientated organisations and organisations that can link and support their needs as well as offering one to one sessions and groups. This role will have a key part to play in using meaningful recovery to support individuals after-care in the community

This post will provide a dedicated resource that can rapidly develop this important work so that there is a broader sustainable network of recovery communities for Islington service users. This focus on sustainability is a key focus for the role. Other key areas for development for this postholder will include the forging meaningful partnerships with relevant existing and new community projects and organisations.

To build on supporting the existing opportunities in Islington. This work will take place with existing models in the borough.

Work with the key workers in the Better Lives team to ensure that all service users have equal opportunities to access originations that can offer support in this area.

Support the Management team at Islington to further develop the training offer for services users as part of their recovery care plan.

To champion the importance of ETE in the service and promote the idea that planning for this should happen at the very earliest stage possible.

Build on existing support services to consider how these can be adapted and tailored to meet the needs of this support whilst in and exiting treatment.

Work with the Management team at Islington to develop clear pathways into ETE treatment for all clients.
