PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Role Overview
Coty’s Global Cosmetics Planning Hub is a team of 80 based in Ashford, Kent. The team manages supply of 500M+ units of global brand cosmetics (Max Factor, Rimmel, Covergirl, Sally Hansen, Bourjois, Manhattan) to 45 global markets via a network of 20 Distribution Centres.

Supply Chain management is an exciting field in which to build a career Events such as Covid19 and Brexit have demonstrated that the modern world is highly dependent on global supply chains which operate reliably and efficiently, and can adapt quickly to disruptive change.

There is significant opportunity for new interns, students, recent graduates who are engaged, numerate and analytical to start a real job, take responsibility and learn the foundations of supply chain management from day one. The global scope of the hub means that our team can rotate across specialist areas and grow as their skills and experience develops.

As a Planning Intern you could be working in any part of the Global Supply Chain for Colour Cosmetics. The standard roles we have include: Initiative Planning - launching new products to markets. Material Supply - working with suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time. Production Planning - working with remote plants and creating their production plans. Deployment Planning - ensuring the right products get to the right distribution centres. Availability Planning - liaising with market teams to jointly deliver customer service levels. Inventory - analysing and taking decisions to meet inventory targets. Master Data - creating new Supply Chain Master Data or ensuring data accuracy.

As an intern you will have real responsibility to drive the business. You will be given a real problem to solve through: Analysing data to understand the real root cause Engaging co-workers to identify potential solutions Getting support for your solution and implementing it Tracking the results of your actions

Each intern will have the opportunity to work on day-to-day processes and also projects that involve working with muti functional teams in and outside the planning hub.
Each intern will have a coach and will have regular progress reviews. This will allow you to develop critical leadership, interpersonal and technical skills.

Key Success Measures
Service - delivering the Customer Fill Rate targets for each BU globally.
Inventory - Manage inventory performance ($M, Days On Hand) to target
NPD Launches - New product launches (NPD) on time in full, to in country warehouse date
Cost savings - Partner with suppliers, production sites, physical distribution to drive out cost
VAR/E&O - Drive the work to minimise VAR (Value at Risk) and Excess & Obsolete inventory generation.
Projects -Contribute to planning elements of Supply Chain Projects
Master Data - Ensure creation and maintenance of master data elements on time and quality.

IDEAL FIT

Educated to A-level and in process of completing a numerate degree: Engineering, Science, Maths, Business, Supply Chain.
Competent user of IT Systems - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and more.
Capable of building and managing relationships with both internal staff and external partners.
A self-starter with strong analytical skills and curiosity.
A proven problem solver who can engage others.

Report and investigate work-related hazards, incidents and near misses.
Complete all required health and safety training.
Other health and safety duties as required from time to time.
