#JoinUsBeYou and make a difference to a child's life
We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and motivated person to join our team as an Activity Co-Ordinator across the Hope and Horizon units within CAMHS
As theActivity Coordinatoryou will complement our existing Occupational Therapy team, working collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure we provide excellent activity programmes and care to our young people.
We are looking for someone who possesses excellent communication skills, has the confidence in developing and facilitating, whilst engaging programmes of activities that incorporate physical and creative sessions which can be provided both on and off the unit.
**Service/Ward/Department Summary**:
The Hope and Horizon Units at Fairfield General Hospital are general adolescent units which are both mixed gender mental health wards. The Hope ward is a 12-bed assessment ward, supporting young people with acute mental health needs on a 4-6-week pathway. The Horizon ward is slightly smaller with 10 beds and supports young people with severe or enduring mental health difficulties and/or an eating disorder with whom a longer admission is needed.
At Pennine Care you’ll do more than join something - you’ll be valued for who you are; you’ll be making a difference and be part of something good and important.
Our colleagues are the beating heart and pride of our organisation. Everyone contributes towards our vision of a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities.
Our strong values of kindness, fairness, ingenuity and determination guide us - they are fundamental to who we are, wherever we are.
Equality diversity and inclusion is at the top of our agenda. We believe that a diverse, inclusive and engaged culture is vital; that everyone’s value should be recognised and respected.
We proactively challenge injustices, and are the only Trust in the North West to publicly recognise our commitment to becoming anti-racist and supporting our transgender and non-binary colleagues. We also have thriving staff networks to make sure everyone has a voice.
We’ve got big ambitions for the future and a clear path to get there. You’ll be supported to achieve and upskill, with opportunities to learn and progress.
We care for our colleagues and offer a range of health and wellbeing support; such as a dedicated wellbeing service, flexible working options for work-life balance, plus regular wellbeing sessions and courses.
You will demonstrate an understanding of the importance and value of activity to mental health and wellbeing and be able to articulate and promote the importance of engagement during treatment in hospital. The ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with young people together with teamwork, is crucial to the role. There is scope to be dynamic and creative with the role, bringing in skills and interests that will improve the care of the young people and their journey in hospital.
