North East, United Kingdom Rethink Mental Illness Full time

**Community Lead (Criminal Justice and Secure Care) - Secondment**

**Are you looking for a development opportunity?**

**We have an exciting secondment opportunity (until Feb 2024) for the new Community Lead **to become part of a senior part of the Criminal Justice Management Structure to oversee the North East Community Provision within our criminal justice services.

The community provision within our criminal justice portfolio has grown significantly in recent years, and the post holder will be critical to ensuring continued growth and success. You will be responsible for clinical leadership and contract management, contribute to community services contract management, improvement initiatives, new business procurement, maintenance of current contracts and development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships. You will provide supervision and direct line management to staff and hold responsibility for performance management and improvement in these areas. You will also work alongside wider Prisons and Criminal Justice staff to help nurture, grow and develop excellent standards of care and service provision in line with Rethink organisational strategies and objectives.

The role is covering the North East region with some national travel. Due to the prison environments, a significant proportion of the work is face to face within the North East and at times the need to attend face to face can be short notice. Therefore the post holder will need to be based within the North East region.

For further details please see the full Job Description attached.

**What we are looking for**:

- experience of identifying and implementing service improvements and continuous quality improvement projects
- experience in successfully leading on recruitment, inductions and Human Resource procedures, working alongside specialist professionals to inform my practice
- experience and/or training in Project Management
- experience of delivering wellbeing interventions, ideally through structured, evidence based working
- experience of contributing to service design, procurement, and mobilisation
- experience of managing budgets and delivering services that are financially viable
- experience of creating and maintaining service governance, including development of policies, procedures, templates, and recruitment processes

We’re looking for a motivated forward thinker to continue the success of our mental health navigation offer and help bring our Communities that Care vision to life.

**So, if you are looking for progression, and think you have what it takes, then we’d love to hear from you.**

You can also contact Carolyn Houghton, Head of Justice, Secure Care & Care Navigation to discuss your interest.
