Construction Youth Trust is a forward-thinking youth employment charity whose mission is to help young people take their first steps towards a successful and rewarding career. We connect young people with industry employers and facilitate meaningful experiences of the world of work. Construction is one of the largest sectors in the UK and offers excellent career pathways for young people from all backgrounds and across a wide range of academic ability.

This role is the perfect entry level for a person who wants to take their first step into the workplace via the youth/charity sector. The successful applicant will be a key member of the Charity’s Partnerships team and will support the delivery of the Trust’ fundraising strategy, overseen and managed by the Senior Partnerships Manager.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Identifying new sources of funding for the work of the Trust, including researching fundraising opportunities
- Supporting the renewals process for funders including the completion of reports and evaluation that match and exceed expectations
- Reviewing and categorising research to support bids
- Supporting the Partnerships team to review, improve, and implement new systems and processes - e.g. supporting the development of a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy

This role is a twelve-month paid Internship to begin during March 2023, supported by the Jack Petchey Foundation. You must be ready take up the post by 27 March 2023.

As part of this role, you will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme with 30 other interns from different youth organisations in London and Essex. This development programme will involve you attending a launch conference, four professional development workshops through the year and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will receive an extra training bursary of £1,000 for approved training. You will also be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support you in your professional development. The Jack Petchey Internship Programme training and events will take place in person in London (dates outlined below) and you will be expected to take full part in this programme alongside your role at Construction Youth Trust.

**Event Dates**
- A skype welcome call with their line manager and Jack Petchey Foundation on 30th March 2023
- Launch Conference - 25th-26th April 2023
- Three action learning sets throughout the year
- Celebratory event in February 2024

The successful applicant for this position will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
