**Your main responsibilities**

We currently have a vacancy for a **Production Supervisor** in our **High-Risk Department **team. This post presents a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to progress their career within the Oscar Mayer group.

**What you'll be doing**
- Confirm all pre-start-up checks have been completed.
- Any Health and Safety issues identified and reported to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensure that quality standards are always adhered to.
- Monitor production processes to ensure that product specifications are met.
- Maintain an effective channel of communication between production and quality to ensure any issues are detected and resolved swiftly with mínimal impact to the business.
- All paperwork is correct, signed and delivered to Technical Department at end of shift.
- Supervise, instruct, motivate, evaluate, and praise staff.
- Best labour utilisation by using the labour plan built for each SKU.
- Closely monitor and evaluate efficiency of the area.
- Ensure that the area is delivering plan attainment in line with OTIF.
- Any issues that affect plan attainment are to be escalated in a timely and proactive manner to the Manager to minimize losses and unplanned changeovers.
- Drive downtime reduction by being proactive and escalating promptly any issues that might affect efficient running of the lines.
- Ensure that giveaway targets are met in line with business needs.
- Ensure waste in the area is under control and in line with business KPI’s.
- To monitor material usage ensuring no under or overweight finished product.

**What key skills would be desirable**
- At least 3 years' experience in a production management role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in lean manufacturing principles as well as a working knowledge of ERP systems would be an advantage.
- Good skills in Microsoft Excel to support work-in-progress and production schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
