Job Introduction
Do you want to make a difference? If you do, then the Complaints Officer Duty role might be perfect for you, working in the Complaints and Feedback Team for Adult Social Care and Health. We’re looking for someone to work with us for six months on a secondment basis. We’ll help you develop your skills and make the most of this opportunity.
As a Duty Complaints Officer, you need great customer care skills, a broad knowledge of Adult Social Care and Health services and a commitment to problem solving. The team is busy, and the work is interesting. You work sensitively and compassionately with clients, their carers, and their families or representatives to ensure their views are heard, looked into and resolved whenever possible. This involves building collaborative relationships with colleagues in all services and at all levels within the department and the Council more widely.
Being able to listen, communicate clearly, respond to risk, work within processes and work effectively as a team member are all key qualities. Overall, you will make sure that the complaints process, or other appropriate services, are followed and that your involvement makes a difference.

Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
