Part-time, will include weekend working

We are seeking a friendly and highly motivated individual with an energetic personality to join our team as a Till and Customer Service Assistant, primarily working on our Customer Service Desk.

The position is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient process of customer purchases and maintaining high levels of customer service. Previous retail experience would be useful but not essential.

As a Till and Customer Service Assistant, you will be responsible for
- Being able to provide exemplary and friendly customer service to all our customers, engaging openly with a positive can-do attitude, providing a fast and reliable service
- Processing customer transactions, refunds and organising customers deliveries, ensuring the correct procedures are being followed
- Being able to proactively respond to a situation ensuring a consistently high customer experience across all tills
- Promoting and talking confidently about the Diamond Club membership and enrol customers
- Pro-active communication between the till and customer service department and other retail departments
- Being able to think ahead and anticipate customer needs by providing all the necessary materials at the till. Monitoring till hardware and reporting any faults
- Managing system price accuracy and reporting any items that are incorrectly priced or where the barcode may not be recognised to Till and Customer Service Manager or Senior
- Monitoring security around the till and customer service area and ensure vigilance to reduce theft and fraud
- Assisting customers with advice and carry to car
- Maintaining customer trollies and baskets within the Centre throughout the day
- Any other duties required by the Till and Customer Service Manager and Garden Centre Operation Manager

You should be able to work on your own initiative, under pressure at a fast pace, in a team or individually and have a flexible approach.
