We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of RRP Head of Frameworks and Standards.

Role Purpose:
The role holder will report to the Head of Group Recovery and Resolution Planning, Global Treasury. The team is the custodian of the Group Recovery and Resolution Strategy, which includes the management of our capabilities to recover in a severe stress and if unsuccessful our ability to be resolved and restructured in an orderly way. The team will ensure through a testing, assurance and reporting process, that all areas of the bank are owning and maintaining their capabilities to recover and resolve.

The purpose of this role is to maintain the RRP Framework and Standards, lead the HSBC Group regulatory relationship for RRP matters and lead on RRP training.

In this role, you will:

- Provide an update on progress on resolvability every year at the Crisis Management Group (CMG) (both at Group and regional levels)
- Coordinate across multiple business areas and functions to gather, analyse and synthesize information for senior executives and regulators
- Develop and maintain good relationships with the PRA and other regulators
- Lead role in the identification of RRP risks and development of mitigation approaches and controls
- Responsible for the drafting of certain risk and finance sections of RRP documentation and FIMs (with 2LOD)
- Lead relationship between Global RRP Office and 2LOD and 3LOD stakeholders
- Lead for RRP Training across HSBC, including the assessment of RRP training needs and oversight of training material production and delivery
- Delivery of annual process to reassess potential financial interdependency barriers to resolution
- Manage RRP policy and procedure reviews across businesses and functions

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Strong RRP technical skills and applicable experience
- Experience in both regulatory engagement and training is advantageous
- Demonstrable experience of leading, managing and coaching a team of Finance business partners in a changing commercial environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, collaboration and influencing skills
- Demonstrable expertise in planning and organization of complex tasks
- Creativity, critical thinking and ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Ability to deliver high quality written work with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - ability to present complex issues in a clear and articulate way, to both technical and non-technical audiences at a peer and senior management level
- Ability to multi-task across multiple assignments, prioritise workloads and work under time pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative, able to take responsibility for personal development in technical and behavioural skills
- Able to establish, build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues
- Openness and willingness to share ideas and knowledge within the team and more broadly.
- Strong understanding of banking and HSBC’s operations, technology framework and global businesses
