Are you a self-motivated conversion optimisation / CRO leader, with strong experience of customer journey optimisation?

In this role you'll be managing the team of experts who will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of activities that increase conversions of new and existing customers, maximising the commercial returns for the business.

**The Job...**

The Conversion Optimisation Specialists (your direct reports) play a key role in the overall marketing department. They know how to engage incoming prospects and existing customers and use performance data to design new solutions that drive conversion lift.

It'll be your responsibility to help them achieve their brand's goals - taking ambiguous and complex client obstacles and translating them into understandable strategies and action plans, driving innovative ideas, and defining areas of opportunity for the CRO vertical. All whilst partnering with other teams, business verticals, and external partners to deliver results.

It’s a full-time role, with flexible hours and you'll be working in a hybrid pattern, generally 2 days a week in the modern Salford Quays office, 3 days a week from home.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Leveraging your own and/or widely accepted methodologies for conversion optimisation solutions design: Heuristic analysis, UI/UX, messaging, data analysis, and funnel optimisation.
- Championing customer journey optimisation best practices with experience of developing and implementing testing strategies across various channels, including designing and analysing contact strategy, automation techniques/tools, and overall customer experience.
- Owning the conversion optimisation strategies, ensuring correct execution of these key efforts and actions in order to drive growth.
- Supporting your direct reports in their experimentation (A/B and MV testing) roadmap executions and helping your team attain the highest level of optimisation agility and velocity, focusing on both marketing and commercial outcomes.
- Establishing and monitoring team goals (OKRs), and digital performance standards (best practices, processes, workflows and communications).
- Contributing to executive-level reports that convey complex analytical findings in a concise manner.
- Establishing strong relationships with the peers in different departments such as Heads of Marketing, Product, Commercial, Development and the rest of the marketing team to align on the common goals.

**About You...**

Managing a team of CRO specialists, you'll also need to effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and peers across a fairly complex organisation. You'll be the kind of person who has the ability to promptly establish priorities, make informed but decisive decisions, adapt to changes in those priorities, negotiate and communicate expectations. Strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to influence unpopular decisions while maintaining strong working relationships, is something you'll thrive on.

**Here's some of the key experience you'll need to demonstrate**:

- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing optimisation with a legacy or newly found CRO passion and acumen.
- 3+ years of experience in management roles where the team focus was CRO, and conversion focused digital marketing.
- 2+ years of experience developing and scaling digital programs, as well as monitoring and refining existing programs to meet the company’s objectives, strategies, and forecasts.
- Excellent experience of data-driven marketing, with a/b and multivariate testing experience, Web Analytics experience, and a successful track record of implementing and managing different Digital Marketing tools.
- The ability to build deep client and industry knowledge, and identify trends, gaps and opportunities from data and client/industry information.
- Incredible people skills including line management, and also strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority when needed.
