**WHAT TO EXPECT**

Join our Chassis and Motion Control Systems department. We're all about developing cutting-edge control systems and software design for Chassis, Electrical, AAD Motion Control, and various new technologies, all aimed at enhancing the driving experience and working towards the goal of automated driving. As part of the AAD Motion Control team, you'll be at the forefront of developing control systems for the next generation of vehicle electrical architectures. You'll be responsible for both the lateral and longitudinal motion control of the vehicle, covering a wide range of autonomy levels from ADAS level 1 to ADAS level 4. We use model-based design methods and have fully embraced the Agile transformation that JLR is going through.

In this role, you'll have the exciting responsibility of project leadership for vehicle integration and calibration. You'll remain technically involved in the vehicle level integration and AAD systems calibration, allowing you to develop an in-depth understanding of the influence of new electrical architectures on control functions and enable vehicle calibration and integration.

Some key performance indicators for this role include delivering functional vehicle prototypes that meet non-functional attributes, executing exploratory tests on vehicles, ensuring on-time delivery of motion control system calibration, and ensuring safe and operational system delivery on all product prototypes.

Here are some key accountabilities and responsibilities you'll have:

- Owning and managing squad road map plans and a vehicle development plan.
- Reporting out at regular intervals to department and stakeholder management reviews.
- Helping your product squad focus on creating high-value product increments that deliver the highest value.
- Ensuring that scrum and Agile ceremonies take place and are positive and productive.
- Defining the product goal and managing the product backlog.
- Managing risks and removing impediments through regular alignment with all stakeholders, including suppliers and development partners.
- Delivering and integrating the Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD) Motion Control system on early vehicle prototypes.
- Planning and executing calibration activities.
- Creating calibration methods and driving the overall strategy for Motion Control systems.
- Generating technical evidence to show that the motion system meets JLR standards and system performance requirements, such as vehicle level technical KPIs.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Expert level project management and leadership working with large multidisciplinary project teams.
- An understanding of vehicle network communications, ECUs and electronics.
- Experience of calibration delivery of complex system attributes at vehicle level.
- Experience of Model Based software delivery for safety critical systems in accordance with a quality management process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication adjusted to the interest of the audience and the desired outcomes.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in Model Based Control System Design
- Agile practitioner certification (Product Owner, Scrum Master, etc.)
- Experience of working with Automated or Assisted Driving feature delivery
- Experience of working with mechatronic actuation systems.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security tools and processes.
- An understanding of Chassis Control systems and their influence on vehicle dynamic behaviour.
