WHAT TO EXPECT
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Product Owner to join our Electronics Group within Product Engineering.
The purpose of this role is also to provide a depth of technical knowledge, support and strategy for the design, manufacturing and introduction of electronic modules / ECU’s for JLR programmes
As a Product Owner, you’ll be working with a growing squad that is responsible for the delivery of electronic modules at JLR, meeting defined targets and attributes (technical and commercial - on cost, quality and time).
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Development of the Electronics Hardware operating model, including managing the team and capabilities to deliver to JLR commodity delivery process.
Develop and manage the Hardware Design Processes and methodologies, including Electronic Design (Schematic & PCB), Mechanical Design, validation and industrialisation.
Lead the delivery of the module targets specifically for quality, cost and time.
Create the vision and execute recruitment of multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to create and evaluate module concepts, features and alternatives and develop production releases.
Meet operational targets created in the strategy phase to ensure they can be delivered robustly.
Build, maintain and manage relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Experience of delivery of complex electronics modules including electrical and mechanical engineering.
A proven track record in sourcing and the delivery of components for vehicle programs.
Experience of working with electronics manufacturing facilities and component suppliers.
Extensive experience in electronics development environments, processes and tool chains for volume manufacture.
Complete understanding of end-to-end electronics development processes.
Project management experience

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
