Description

This role looks to support the fundraising team across all income streams, including processing and thanking donations and supporting with the stewardship and recruitment of supporters. Work across the team to support them with various projects which will help them to reach or exceed targets.

You will work on specific projects as assigned by the Head of F&C including a gift aid project to raise an estimated £20,000.

Scope of the role
- Process and thank incoming donations received through the post, via digital platforms and over the phone.
- Ensure that all supporters are responded to in a timely manner.
- Support across the fundraising team with data processing on the CRM database.
- Support the Head of Fundraising with implementing a gift aid programme to update records and establish a regular claims programme.
- Be a supportive and engaged member of the team contributing ideas and help with a range of fundraising activities.

Main

**Responsibilities**:
Team support
- To assist with sending out fundraising merchandise including supporter packs, running vests, t-shirts etc.
- To support the team with administrative duties as and when needed
- Support the team with data processing on the CRM database

Supporter thanking & banking
- To assist with the implementation of the stewardship programme for all supporters including one off, regular givers, trusts and foundations and community fundraisers.
- To ensure all donations are processed quickly, coded correctly, and donors are thanked in a timely manner.
- To assist the team with some financial functions such as coding donations from third party digital platforms and our website.

Data & Information
- Act as first point of contact for a wide range of supporters, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly and passed on where necessary. To assist with the administration of fundraising activities on the CRM including mailings and event administration when required.
- To carry out a range of information gathering activities as required, including online research.
- To maintain the fundraising database including timely processing of donations, and making sure donors are thanked.
- Ensure that data processing is in accordance with charity procedures and GDPR compliance.

Other Duties
- To be prepared to support across the team at fundraising events out of hours.
- To undertake any other works as could be expected of a fundraising assistant.

The duties in this job description may change from time to time following a review and in consultation between the post holder and line manager

Entry requirements

**Essential**:
You must hold a grade 4/ level 2 or above in English and Maths or acceptable equivalent.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge or understanding of what good customer service looks like
- Good written and verbal skills, working across various platforms both online and offline.
- Well organised, able to prioritise work
- Good attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial and innovative approach and a willingness to take on new opportunities.
- Knowledge / experience of using Microsoft Office

Training to be provided

You will undertake the Fundraiser level 3 apprenticeship programme.

You would be part of the fundraising and communications team of 6. We are a supportive team working together to increase our reach by engaging communities of people across the UK to raise awareness and funds. We work collaboratively sharing ideas, successes and problem solving collectively. Together we have a range of experience and skills. We are keen to grow the team as we continue to increase our income and grow our community of supporters.
