Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee our Semi-Independent Housing program. As a Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our services, providing guidance and support to both staff and residents. Your leadership will contribute to the development and well-being of young adults transitioning to independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Semi-Independent Housing program, ensuring its alignment with organizational goals and mission.
Team Management: Supervise and support a team of support workers, ensuring they have the resources and training needed to deliver high-quality services.
Client Support: Collaborate with the Social Work team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote residents' self-sufficiency, life skills, and overall well-being.
Assessment and Planning: Oversee the assessment process for incoming residents, ensuring their needs, strengths, and goals are identified to inform personalized support plans.
- Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies, educational institutions, and community resources to enhance residents' access to services and opportunities.
Crisis Management: Provide guidance and leadership in crisis intervention, ensuring the safety and welfare of residents and staff.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor program outcomes and service quality, regularly reviewing and evaluating progress toward goals and making necessary adjustments.
Budget Management: Manage the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and responsibly to meet operational needs.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, documentation, and compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
Staff Development: Mentor and support staff members in their professional growth, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve program effectiveness, incorporating feedback from residents, staff, and stakeholders.
Resident Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive environment for residents, encouraging their active participation in program activities and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a social services or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of semi-independent housing services and youth development principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team of professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in social services.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and record-keeping software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
