**Primary Objectives**
- To lead and coordinate
- To implement and coordinate work experience placements, or work related learning for all students.
- To deliver Futures sessions to students in 1-1 and group settings.
- When required, provide information regarding student’s progress towards meeting their EHCP and college targets and objectives. This will involve being aware of and acting in support of each students educational and leisure programmes and activities.
- To significantly contribute to designated element/s of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.

**Key Tasks and Main Duties**
- Coordination of work placements/work related learning for the students in liaision with the College Leadership Team.
- To ensure all risk assessment and individual needs of students are fully met.
- Conduct initial visits to work placements and external companies to assess suitability and risk assess prior to placement.
- To ensure that all Futures related paperwork, including planning, tracking, student, staff and employer feedback is collated and reported on.
- Attend or contribute to reviews and meetings, reporting on Futures during placement at the College, in line with students’ EHCP Outcomes.
- Liaise with key staff at all partnership colleges and other related settings, to ensure individual student Futures’ needs are met and key information communicated to the wider team/s.
- Liaise with wider team/s and advocate for students as necessary with regards to their decisions and aspirations about Futures. Support with appropriate decision making processes.
- Provide Futures reports for reviews and other documentation, including Annual Review reports.
- Liaise with students and their families to recommend potential post college employment/progress options. Accompany student(s) to visits, where appropriate. Researching/support students researching potential employers and make contact with key people.
- Liaise with wider team, to update and share all relevant paperwork to external stakeholders/employers when new providers have been confirmed e.g. profiles, risk assessments, and specialist equipment/support information.
- When work placements/ employment have been confirmed, arrange an appropriate schedule of familiarisation.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students and all other young people/vulnerable adults that have contact with the organisation, challenging any poor practice.

This is a term time only position.
