**Hours: Monday to Thursday 06.00am-14.30pm and Friday 06.00am-11.30am**

As a key member of the team, the Production Operative - Assembly will play a key role in the manufacture of both single deck and double deck buses. You will work in a hand assembly process, ensuring quality and precision in the following tasks:
**Responsibilities of the Production Operative - Assembly**:

- Assembling parts with the highest quality standards.
- Measuring, marking, cutting, and building components.
- Fitting interior fibreglass components, bonding glass, and securing plastic polymer fittings.
- Installing passenger seats according to engineering layouts.
- Finalising buses by adding mirrors, labels, and ensuring panel alignment.
- Contributing to process improvement.
- Maintaining a safe, organized workspace using 5S principles.
- Identifying and addressing quality issues to maintain high standards.

**The ideal Production Operative - Assembly will have**:

- Previous experience in at least three areas of the Production Assembly Line (e.g., vehicle glazing, passenger seat fitting, interior ABS capping, coves, and ceiling panel fitting).
- Proficiency with various materials, including aluminum, steel, GRP, plastics, and timber.
- Competence with relevant tools, such as basic hand tools and air-operated tools.
- Understanding of engineering drawings.
- Responsible equipment maintenance.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctuality.
- Familiarity with 5S lean principles.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
