**The role**

The Supply Telemetry Coordinator is a critical role to reduce operational risk and ensure the management of telemetry alarms. Working in the control room, you will be responsible for the monitoring and initial response to telemetry alarms received from our water production and distribution assets, identifying appropriate staff to attend site, and the allocation of work for corrective action.

You will form a pivotal part of the operational response to supply alarms and incidents driving to minimise service failure and maximise an efficient response through data driven assessments.

Additional responsibilities include:

- Liaison with work scheduling and field teams
- Alarm changes and process management
- Remote operation of plant
- Live analysis of telemetry and other corporate data
- Following procedures for critical alarms
- The maintenance and administration of handovers

**What do I need?**

Alarms can be varied in volume and criticality, so excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail is key to ensure priorities are identified and alarms are always effectively managed.

An understanding of water supply systems or telemetry systems would be ideal but if you have the aptitude and approach to effectively problem solve, we'll ensure you get all the training you need to confidently adapt your skills to the role.

You’ll also need to be competent in interpreting data to be able to communicate clear information to stakeholders for action.

This is a busy and fast paced role, so you will need to be comfortable working at pace, whilst being able to deliver important activities such as coordinating the response to critical telemetry alarms.

Additionally, you’ll have the following experience:

- Liaising with technical staff and ability to discuss technical concepts
- Experience of working in an operational team/control room
- Able to adapt between following strict procedures and ability to use initiative
- Deliver a consistent performance under all workload conditions, including during operational incidents and weather events
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft products
