We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a **SENCo** based in our West Midlands or East of England region.
Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations located across the West Midlands and East of England.
Our programme delivery now includes; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships and 14-16 alternative provision.
Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision for offering a variety of education options to young people.
As a **SENCo** you will be part of an experienced leadership team, required to manage and deliver the strategic development of Nova Training’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision. With an oversight of the day to day operation of the SEN activities, ensuring SEN learner achievement is progressive through the development and monitoring of all aspects of the learner journey.
You will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring that all students have access to high quality education and support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- To support the development of Supported Internships and WEX opportunities for SEN learners to reach their full potential.
- Ensure all members of staff are able to recognise and fulfil their statutory responsibilities to SEN learners.
- Building relationships with students, parents/carers, staff through annual reviews and parent meetings.
- Provide professional guidance to all staff to secure good teaching for all SEN learners, through both written guidance, meetings and training.
- Work with external agencies to maximise resources made available
- You will need to be resilient and able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a SENCo in an education setting.
- QTS or equivalent
- National SENCo award
- Have an excellent understanding of SEN code of Practice and procedures.
- Experience of leading and managing staff
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Have vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning.
**Full, clean UK Driving License**
