Activity Buddy Coordinator

Corby, United Kingdom North Northamptonshire Council Full time

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual who will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the Activity Buddy Programme in North Northamptonshire, by working with and supporting residents to attend Health, Wellbeing and Leisure Services with other ‘Buddy’ members/volunteers, reducing some of the common barriers, restrictions and fears people may have when attending activity sessions on their own.

What will you be doing?
The post-holder will be responsible for recruiting, managing and matching scheme members with other members and volunteers. Matching is based on need, locality, availability and activity preference.

You will need to create and update a database of information for health, wellbeing and leisure services and activities in North Northamptonshire. Promoting and marketing the scheme to ensure that participants are made aware of these opportunities and can make informed choices to be or stay active, and supporting volunteers will be key elements in the project success.

About you

Post holder must be willing to travel across North Northamptonshire and be willing to attend evening and weekend sessions as and when required.
