We have developed a new role of Sub-Committee Associate (Finance) which allows you to develop trustee skills without the legal commitments that comes with the position of Trustee (Non-Executive Director) and only requires commitment of 1 day per quarter. The successful person will join our Resources & Risk Assurance Sub-Committee (hereon known as R&RA) which meets quarterly on a Friday morning. These meetings can be attended in person (Leeds) or via video conferencing to allow applicants outside of the local vicinity.

This role gives insight into strategic, board level meetings and is an excellent stepping stone into the role of Trustee. You will have an opportunity to review organisational reports and take part in strategic discussions.

Our R&RA Sub-Committee looks at various aspects of the organisation with a focus on Finance, Health & Safety, Environment, GDPR, Risk and Audits.

We are looking for someone with professional experience in the financial sector to support our R&RA Sub-Committee which is chaired by our Treasurer. Experience in being part of preparation of Annual Statements, Budgets or Housing Sector finances are of particular relevance.

You’ll receive an induction and will be supported by other R&RA members, the Strategic Governance Lead and the Chief Executive.

You will need:

- A real belief in our organisation’s purpose and the tools to help us to continue with service delivery.

Our Head Office is based in Leeds however we now hold our meetings in a hybrid setting with some trustees attending in person and some attending virtually via video conferencing. This opens up the opportunity to have trustees who live and work across England. Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed with receipts.
