An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Safeguarding Department as a **Safeguarding Caseworker** offering safeguarding support and guidance to all Salvation Army churches, community services and social centres within the United Kingdom.
This is a permanent position based at our new, modern headquarters at Champion Park, London, SE5 8FJ.
**Key Responsibilities**:
As a caseworker you will be responsible for providing guidance to Officers and staff who are managing safeguarding concerns and incidents within The Salvation Army. You will be required to make referrals to external agencies and liaise with statutory authorities. You will also be expected to participate in developing in-house processes and training as required.
- Knowledge of child and adult protection legislation.
- At least 5 years’ experience of safeguarding casework is essential.
- Excellent record keeping and report writing skills.
- Enjoy working as part of a small busy team.
