This role is working for a well-established prepared foods manufacturer which produces great tasting products to the highest standards.

Based in a modern, BRC accredited facility, the business work with some of the biggest and most progressive names in the grocery, retail, and wholesale sector.

**About the HR Assistant job**:
The purpose of your role will be to assist with the day-to-day running of the human resources department, providing support to the HR Manager.

**Key tasks**:

- Process paperwork related to the full employee lifecycle - starters, leavers, changes to employee terms and condition, disciplinary/grievance hearings, flexible working requests etc.
- Compile and update employee references, clearances, and DBS checks.
- Monitor and coordinate all employee training renewals.
- Maintain attendance records.
- Complete inductions with new employees.
- Support internal and external HR enquiries and requests.
- Process payroll and assist with the documentation of employee compensation and benefits.
- Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.

**About You**:
You will possess office administration experience and a background working in or assisting a human resources department is highly preferred.

You will have confident communication skills (both verbal and written) and have good organisation skills together with the ability to establish productive relationships with colleagues.

HR qualifications (or studying towards) would also be a great advantage and experience using Microsoft Office software is required.

**More details**:
The HR Assistant job is based in Lancashire and is paying £20,000 - £25,000 according to your experience.

The package includes 28 days holiday including bank holidays, standard pension, free sandwiches for lunch, ride to work scheme.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
