Medicines Effectiveness Practitioner

Tasks and Responsibilities To ensure that administrative support to the Medicines Effectiveness Team is provided in an efficient and effective manner. To support the Medicines Effectiveness Team by keeping all essential resources and databases up to date. Take, prepare and distribute minutes of meetings as necessary, particularly those for the MMTC. Assist in producing reports as necessary and participating in data collection for medicines use audits.
Support the Medicines Effectiveness Team in disseminating information on the MMTC decisions, which will involve regular contact with other members of pharmacy department To assist in the promotion of Medicines Information Leaflets (MILs) Manage and maintain the MMTC SharePoint site and the web based formulary. Participate in development of Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by creating SOPs and/ or providing comment on those written by others as necessary. Work independently and refer to members of the Medicines Effectiveness Team, etc. as appropriate.
Ensure the safe and effective use, storage and disposal of information in line with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles. Be accountable for own actions and work without supervision whilst the line manager is available for advice when required. Any other duties as required and commensurate of the post. This is an outline job description, designed to give an overview of the responsibilities of the post.
The post-holder would be expected to be flexible to respond to the changes in team and organisational need.
