Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.

We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People's (CYP) Temporary Accommodation Worker to develop and deliver programmes of age appropriate and flexible support to children and young people living in temporary accommodation, aged 0 to 16, which support their needs and enhances their experiences through play and meaningful engagement.

**Main purpose of the post**:

- Work as part of both the Stockport Without Abuse and the Stockport Homes team, taking a specific lead on supporting children recovering from domestic abuse, based across two accommodation sites.
- Attend professional meetings to support the needs of the children or young person, making contact, and working collaboratively with relevant professionals (incl. health visitors, maternity services, education and schools) to support their needs.
- Champion the voice of the child or young person, gather information on victims' experiences to feed back to inform research and policy.
