We are thrilled to be exclusively recruiting for a Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator for our client; a Tier 1 manufacturing supplier in to some of the worlds first class airlines.

We are looking for a commercial and self-motivated purchasing/procurement professional - this role is definitely a role where you will get the autonomousy to help define the supplier partnerships and to negotiate new rates and terms. We are also looking for a proactive individual who is confident and capable of working to challenging deadlines and promoting this urgeny through to suppliers.

**In your new role as our Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator, your day to day tasks will involve**:

- Source and procure aviation and consumable items preferably obtaining three quotations prior to commencement of work.
- Procurement and purchasing based on projected workflows and priority levels.
- Preparation of information for the MOC team and Senior Management including were possible three quotations prior to commencement of works that a purchase order can be approved.
- Administer the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for items imported into the UK from Europe and other territories.
- Working with the Compliance/Quality and Engineering Departments to maintain a list of approved suppliers whose authorised release documentation satisfies EASA/CAA/FAA/TCCA or any other NAA requirements in accordance with Aeroco Procedures.
- Liaise with Engineering daily to update status on work requirements and projects.
- Operation of the company purchasing procedure for aeronautical and consumable materials.
- Clearly evidence and demonstrate savings in all areas related to procurement.
- Negotiate with new and existing suppliers to reduce costs and secure best possible commercial terms and price.
- Manage the performance of suppliers and address any delivery issues that arise to rectify in a timely manner.
- Build excellent relationships across all levels of the business as well as with our supplies.
- Identify and manage risks associated with subcontracts across second tier suppliers.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across Aeroco Group and suppliers
- Preparing tender packs, evaluating tender proposals, negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Negotiating proposals, contract modifications and agreements as required
- Assessing the Make vs Buy and provide pay back justifications
- Supporting Aeroco’s project and planning teams to source, manage and secure sub-contracts that meet customer needs and differentiates Aeroco from its competitors
- Drive improved profitability and bid cost reduction through re-use, best practice processes and knowledge sharing.
- Manage and control all subcontract documentation, data, files, and reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Supporting internal Phase Reviews/Approvals ensuring that all required approvals are obtained prior to executing a subcontract

**Previous experience**
- CIPS or 2 years QBE would be highly advantageous
- Aerospace/Aviation purchasing experience is essential

**Contractual Benefits**
