Ordering and monitoring of wheelchair stock - including cushions and accessories. Creating work orders in response to clinician instructions Liaison with wheelchair contractor regarding delivery of goods, as well as anticipated delays Preparing reports which detail spend to date and anticipated spend going forward Work as part of the wider wheelchair administration and combined clinical/administration team Liaison with therapy service manager in regards to ordering and any delays that may be occurring or occur Processing of invoices to ensure prompt payment to manufacturers supplying wheelchair goods

Working for our organisation

The Wheelchair service is based within the Nottingham Mobility Centre, which also houses the regional amputee service for Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, and is based in the Therapy & Rehabilitation pathway in the clinical support division at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 600 staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to. Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, and our other staff encompass professionals such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers. We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The main duties of the role include ordering wheelchairs and associated accessories for patients, on behalf of clinicians; maintenance of stock records; and liaison with wheelchair manufacturers regarding special orders. Other associated duties include: updating patient records to show what equipment is issued to patients; and feeding back to clinicians and service manager of any concerns with order or delivery of goods.

- Grade C/Level 4 GCSE English and Maths

Experience

- Proven typing and administration experience
- Experience using microsoft word, excel, outlook
- Recent NHS Experience in an Admin Role
- Demonstrates an understanding of patient/client confidentiality

- Previous experience of ordering

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
