**The team at Ortus Recruitment are looking for an experienced educator to prepare children for their future by supporting in their emotional, social and academic development. The schools we work with are Ofsted rated '**_**Good**_**' or '**_**Outstanding**_**', provide training and CPD courses to ensure career progression and offer consistent support and motivation. We are currently recruiting for a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon.**

**Role**:Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Type**:Full-time, Long-term, Term-Time

**Location**:West Drayton, Hillingdon

**Start Date**:Immediate

**About the role**:
As a **SEN Teaching Assistant**, you will be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 1 pupil that has ASC. He is non-verbal and requires someone who can be motivating and patient in order to support his speech and communication skills as well as aiding in his emotional and academic development. The successful individual will be able to put interventions in place to manage his emotions effectively.

**Individuals with experience working with children who are non-verbal and have knowledge of signing e.g. Makaton and/or PECS to communicate are encouraged to apply**
