1. To work with the head of Chaplaincy and all members of the Chaplaincy team to provide specialist pastoral, emotional, spiritual, and religious care to service users, carers, and staff within the context of a mental health environment. 2. To attend and contribute to Chaplaincy staff meetings, contributing to the decision-making process.

3. To attend and contribute to Chaplaincy supervision, contributing to the core reflective practice and developing self-awareness ethos within mental health Chaplaincy. 3. To help publicise the services of the Chaplaincy to ensure that service users, carers and staff are aware of its purpose and corresponding access.

4. To deputise for the head of Chaplaincy as required. 4. To assist the head of Chaplaincy in implementing the Trusts Spiritual Care Strategy for both GMMH and PCFT.

5. To take part in the provision of in-service training on Spiritual health care, promoting the awareness of, and integration of spiritual and pastoral care of service users and carers within Trust wide service delivery. 6. According to ones own faith or belief good standing, to be a resource for other team members, or staff members on cultural, or religious or spiritual matters as requested.

For our Service Users 6. To contribute to the provision of specialist emotional, spiritual, religious, and pastoral care for all service users, their families/carers, and staff within a mental health environment. 7. To provide specialist spiritual care for all service users, carers, and staff at the point of need and to make appropriate referrals to other Chaplaincy colleagues when a representative from another religious faith or belief organisation is required or requested.

8. To participate, particularly at major festivals, in religious services where representation from the chaplain's tradition is appropriate and sought. 9. To visit wards, departments, community settings and faith and belief organisations as required.

10. Where appropriate, to play a full part in multidisciplinary meetings, providing an advocacy role on behalf of the service user/carer if requested and considered appropriate to do so. 11. To liaise with local faith and belief organisations and relevant agencies, advocating and supporting service users in important spiritual and relational connections outside the hospital environment To the Organisation, Professional bodies, faith, and belief endorsing bodies 11.

To provide emotional support, pastoral counselling, and encouragement for all staff, referring whenever necessary to the staff occupational support services. 12. To be available to support the Head of Chaplaincy and Deputy Head of Chaplaincy in providing religious or cultural advice to the Trust. 13.

To demonstrate professional practice to Band 6 level in accordance with the UKBHC Spiritual and Religious Care Capabilities and Competences for Healthcare Chaplains 14. To maintain up to date understanding, knowledge, and skill set for spiritual and religious chaplaincy in healthcare and Continuing Professional Development in line with UKBHC. 15. To maintain a spiritual discipline and be able to demonstrate your good standing with your endorsing faith and/or belief body.

16. To use opportunities for professional development as they arise, e.g., reading, attending conferences and local meetings, that contribute to both your CPD and enhanced standing as a band 6 Chaplain. These duties do not provide a full summary of the Chaplains role. He or she will be expected to be innovative, bringing his or her special skills and abilities into the team of which he or she will be an integral part.
