PCFT is delighted to advertise this part time role of a trust wide generic chaplain to come and support our busy multifaith Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care Team (C&SC). We deliver an inpatient service which is led by Site Leads across all five boroughs Stockport, Tameside, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale.
We are seeking to appoint a part time band 6 Trust Wide Mental Health Chaplain to our C&CS Team to help and assist our busy Team in the provision of spiritual, religious and pastoral care to service users, carers and staff. We are looking for a person with considerable pastoral skills, a commitment to multi-faith working, a proven ability to minister to people of any faith or none and a person with a flair for working alongside a variety of health care professionals in a multidisciplinary team in both a community and inpatient setting.
This is opportunity for a Chaplain who has existing experience in Mental Health Chaplaincy and/or is able to demonstrate working in a mental health inpatient context delivering spiritual, religious and pastoral care. This post is open to applicants who are members of CHCC and UKHBC.

To identify and make provision as part of the Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care Team for the pastoral, emotional, spiritual, and religious needs of service users, carers, and staff irrespective of religion or belief but with respect for inclusion, equality, and diversity at Pennine Care Foundation Trust with specific.
**In addition**:
a. To work effectively (and often independently) in situations in which people suffer from challenging and debilitating mental and emotional distress.
b. Assess and manage a complex case load of service users, carers, and staff with a variety of pastoral, emotional, spiritual, and religious needs
c. Provide specialist pastoral and spiritual care in a mental health context, caring for service users, carers, and staff in both inpatient and community settings
Develop collegiate relations with associated healthcare staff and faith and belief leaders in both inpatient and community settings.
Contribute to an effective Chaplaincy department with responsibilities for projects and work streams.
Provide compassionate and empathetic care with all service users and staff

1. To work with the head of Chaplaincy and all members of the Chaplaincy team to provide specialist pastoral, emotional, spiritual, and religious care to service users, carers, and staff within the context of a mental health environment.
2. To attend and contribute to Chaplaincy staff meetings, contributing to the decision-making process.
3. To attend and contribute to Chaplaincy supervision, contributing to the core ‘reflective practice and developing self-awareness’ ethos within mental health Chaplaincy.
3. To help publicise the services of the Chaplaincy to ensure that service users, carers and staff are aware of its purpose and corresponding access.
4. To deputise for the head of Chaplaincy as required.
4. To assist the head of Chaplaincy in implementing the Trust’s Spiritual Care Strategy for both GMMH and PCFT.
5. To take part in the provision of in-service training on Spiritual health care, promoting the awareness of, and integration of spiritual and pastoral care of service users and carers within Trust wide service delivery.
6. According to one’s own faith or belief ‘good standing’, to be a resource for other team members, or staff members on cultural, or religious or spiritual matters as requested.
For our Service Users
6. To contribute to the provision of specialist emotional, spiritual, religious, and pastoral care for all service users, their families/carers, and staff within a mental health environment.
7. To provide specialist spiritual care for all service users, carers, and staff at the point of need and to make appropriate referrals to other Chaplaincy colleagues when a representative from another religious faith or belief organisation is required or requested.
