- We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to work closely with our Student Services Team in supporting the student community within the College. The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating the College’s attendance monitoring procedures, supporting student services with events and a wide range of tasks including preparation of student enrolment material and induction. You’ll be working alongside one other Attendance and Student Events Officer and you’ll be reporting to the Assistant Principal of Student Services.- This is an exciting and varied role that will require excellent administration and organisational skills. The postholder will require a professional and discreet approach with accurate attention to detail. They will need to deal with student records and data to provide a smooth and efficient service. This role will require some degree of flexibility as systems and services evolve from time-to-time. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with young people and as part of a team but who also has the confidence and independence to work on their own initiative.- We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and a positive attitude who is able to work under pressure if required. Sound word-processing skills, ICT competency and a good telephone manner are essential. Ideally, we would require the postholder to work 5 days per week. Some flexibility will be available around start and finishing times.- The salary will be on the sixth form college support staff salary scale between Points 11 and 13, dependent upon experience. Therefore, the salary would be between £24,138 and £25,687 per annum, plus £2,894 Outer London Weighting per annum.- The

**Job profile**:

- The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating the College’s attendance monitoring procedures, working alongside one other Attendance and Student Events Officer. This is a varied role that will require excellent administration and organisational skills. The postholder will require a professional and discreet approach with accurate attention to detail. They will need to deal with student records and data to provide a smooth and efficient service. This role will require some degree of flexibility as systems and services evolve from time-to-time.**Attendance**
- Lead on all matters related to attendance, policy and procedure
- Monitor all stages of the attendance procedure and communicate accordingly with Assistant Principal Student Services (APSS) and Head of Year (HoY)
- Implement stage 1 attendance procedure for students across the College
- Manage communications from parents/carers and staff, updating registers accordingly and logging appropriately on the system
- Update systems so that registers are kept accurately
- Forward on parent/carer queries to relevant staff and follow up
- Support APSS to develop and maintain the attendance monitoring system
- Liaise with HoYs to identify students who are causing concern to improve attendance and punctuality through weekly meetings
- Produce regular attendance data for Personal Tutors, Heads of Year and Senior Leadership Team.
- Assist in checking student arrival times at college and follow up students arriving late for their lessons.
- Respond to student queries regarding their attendance records and any unauthorised absences.
- Action the letter home for stage 2 attendance procedure
- Run attendance reports termly
- Send letter to parents/carers if attendance drops below College expectations

**Student Support**

- Lead student services in planning and organising activities and events with students and parents. This includes- Completing any required paperwork such as the event form, and risk assessments
- Liaising with staff and/or students
- Ordering resources where needed
- Liaising with students who want to run information stalls, fundraisers etc

- o Enlisting student helpers to assist on Open Day- o Liaising with the APSS and the student services team to order and produce materials if required**Assemblies**
- Produce signage for the assemblies
- Update the tutor list each academic year ready for assemblies.

**Prom**
- Support HoYs on administrative aspects of prom where needed
