**Department Overview**: To assist the Facilities Management team, by providing non-technical maintenance and handyman type services, including ad-hoc equipment deliveries and collections nationwide, and facilitating contractor access and non-technical supervision across the Airwave portfolio of switch sites and offices.
**This role is onsite 5 days a week out of our Rugby offices, with occasional travel to our other sites.**
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- To carry out non-technical planned maintenance from a PPM schedule - PPM schedules now to include specific duties across multiple of sites as required
- To carry out reactive maintenance as identified either from planned maintenance activities or as reported via Facilities Log reporting system
- Complete safety and operational audits as instructed - to include NW NE MW SW switch sites and ad hoc at other locations as required.
- Maintain relevant on site records and documentation
- Monthly reporting of maintenance activities to Facilities Manager
- Facilitate access for contractors and provide non-technical supervision
- To provide ad hoc pottering and handyman services
- Delivery and collections of goods and equipment nationwide
- To assist Facilities Engineers in their duties
- To independently propose solutions to problems for manager review.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems

- No formal academic or technical qualifications required
- Other technical expertise, experience and knowledge (bullet point)
- Ideally a minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of operational systems and practices as can be expected for this type of role
- Driving license - essential
- Basic DIY skills - essential
- Basic computer literacy - essential
- Basic electrical safety training - desirable but could be provided
- Basic Health & Safety training - desirable but could be provided
- An experienced driver with good geographical knowledge of the UK
- ** This role requires ability to obtain SC clearance.**
