**Are you passionate about enhancing a child or young person's everyday life?**

Apollo Home Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Children’s Healthcare Assistant to support a 6-year-old boy throughout the day.

We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, who currently have complex care experience or are looking to enhance their skill set.

Our service user is a young child who lives with his Mum, Dad, and siblings in Rochdale. He is a happy little boy who enjoys watching cartoons with his siblings, especially Tom and Jerry and Coco Melon.

He communicates using sound; body language and specific noises, he enjoys physical touch including playing with people’s hair and participating in tactile activities.

You will be required to take part in social activities throughout the day such as singing, reading stories and sensory play, offering positive praise and comfort when you needed him.

Previous experience supporting children within a care setting is desirable, however not essential as Apollo Home Healthcare offer training to develop your skills into becoming a Clinical Complex Healthcare worker.

**It is essential for this role that you are a non-smoker**

**Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.**

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months of previous care experience
- Personal care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Non-Smoker

**Desirable Experience Required**
- Seizure Management
- Gastrostomy Feeds (PEG)
- Intermittent catheterisation

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part time Days
- Minimum 16 hours per week
- 9am-5pm
