We have a great opportunity for A **Team Leader **to join the lovely team here in **Rawtenstall **in a **'Good' **rated home. Its a tranquil, safe and nurturing environment where young people have the opportunity to excel and meet their full potential.

This role is perfect for individuals that hold a genuine passion for supporting and improving the lives of young people. It's an extremely rewarding role and you'd be supporting the Manager to put the care of the young people at the heart of everything they do. You will be helping and supporting up to 6 young individuals between the ages of 8-18 years, with a range of learning, emotional, behavioural and social needs who lead an active lifestyle.

**The role**:

- You will lead and supervise care staff day-to-day, working alongside them
- Complete regular staff appraisals
- Take responsibility for case managing residents, liaising with families, health professionals to ensure the highest quality care plans are created and delivered
- To attend review and planning meetings to provide information and achieve the best outcome for young people
- Provide supervision and support to staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations
- Ensure young people are safe guarded as appropriate
- Complete spot checks
- Share on-call duties on a monthly rota
- Share sleep-in and working on-line duties on a monthly rota
- Create and promote opportunities for each young person to have regular contact with and visits from parents, guardians, relatives and friends
- Ensure there is good communication between members of care team, both face-to-face contact as well as through handover and other meetings

It is **required** to have a minimum of 2 year's experience in a residential setting and team leadership, and preferably an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People or be willing to complete within 2 years of commencing post.
