We welcome diverse skill sets This is an open discipline permanent post - for a Mental Health Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Arts Psychotherapist in our award-winning multidisciplinary team.

ACTS provides intensive community assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions to young people aged 13-18 with serious mental health needs who reside in Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster who would otherwise be admitted to a psychiatric General Adolescent Unit.

The ACTS team works Monday through Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. The service has been developed as part of the 24 /7 CAMHS crisis model in combination with other teams in the Trust.

While we cover a large geographic area, the team is based at Monks Park Health Centre, HA9 6JE - there are multiple public transport links and free street parking.

This post is a clinical post and it comes with the opportunity to contribute to clinical and operational service development. Please see the attached Job Description (JD) and Person Specification (PS) for essential and desired attributes.

All clinicians in the team provide care coordination to clients. We are careful to limit caseload size to low numbers so that the team can deliver effective therapeutic interventions.

We support all clinicians to offer therapeutic interventions to other clients care coordinated by their colleagues depending on training/ experience and interest - e.g. DBT, CBT, ACT, CFT, EMDR, NET, MBT, ABFT, NVR - and more Don't have these skills yet but are interested? Post qualification and registration experience of working with adolescents / young people.

Experience of working with young people with highly complex mental health needs, high levels of emotional distress and risk-taking behaviours, including self-harm and attempted suicide.

Experience of specialist assessment and treatment of young people with serious mental health problems who are in crisis.

Experience of undertaking risk assessment and risk management.

Experience in the delivery of psychological interventions and/or evidence-based therapy.

Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in emotionally demanding and distressing situations.

Experience of providing specialist advice to other professionals.
