Bank General Assistant Catering

Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, committed and friendly Bank General Assistant - Catering to assist with meal preparation and help serve meals.
Our Taste Restaurant is open to customers from 8:30am - 2:30pm, seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Located in the heart of the English Riviera, Whitley Court offers a selection of independent living apartments for rent with a range of on-site services and facilities and is designed to offer comfort and peace of mind.
We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

**The role of Bank General Assistant - Catering will include**:
Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
Working with customers, families, advocates and staff to ensure a high standard of services
Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas and the kitchen
Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
**Skills and experiences**:
Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general catering duties
Some experience of working in a domestic environment
Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering is desirable
Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner are essential for success in this role
