We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join the Chamwell team on a part time basis in a busy, hands-on role supporting the finance function across the charity. The post is for up to 20 hours per week, times and days to be discussed at interview. This important role will support and report into the Finance Manager

**Role Description**
Management of Centre Purchase & Sales ledger activities, bank reconciliations and general journal postings.
**Responsibilities**
You will work effectively to ensure:
- Purchase invoices are posted in an accurate and timely manner.
- Suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms after agreeing to statements.
- Production of monthly manual Sales invoices for facility charges.
- Production of sales invoices to cover electronic receipts received.
- Posting of Sales ledger receipts where required.
- Credit control function as required.
- Journal posting from monthly salaries reports.
- Support for the Gift Aid claims process.
- Support for other tax requirements including VAT.
- General financial administration and working with financial systems.
- Monthly Management accounts support as required.
- Year end support for Accounts and Audit function as required.
- Working in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Centre staff to help deliver the organisation’s objectives and strategic plans.
- Any other duties as allocated by the Head of Finance
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- AAT Qualification, studying for, demonstrable Qualified by experience
- Experience of working with accounting systems Xero / Sage
- Excellent IT skills in Excel/Word/Outlook
- Able to prioritise and organise workload
- Effective written and verbal communication
There will support and training offered to work within our small, friendly team.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
