**Job purpose**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assisting the Purchase ledger function, including approval and posting of all supplier invoices and credit notes to Sage 200, incl. 3 way matching on our bespoke ERP system
- Regular supplier statement reconciliation
- Answering purchase ledger queries both internally and externally, as required
- Processing payments on the banking systems
- Managing corporate credit cards & processing of expenses
- Assisting in trade debtor related tasks and allocation of received payments & processing of refunds
- Other Ad hoc reporting and finance tasks to contribute to the finance function of the business & support the department

**Key skills and attributes**:

- Self-driven, friendly and a positive disposition, with a clear focus on high quality and control & process improvement
- AAT starter/part qualified
- Experience of using Sage 200 is advantageous
- Excel experience intermediate to advance
- Actively participates in team work to ensure organisational goals are met
- Supports colleagues by responding effectively to requests for help & information
- Questions, and where appropriate challenges, the status quo to ensure continuous improvement
- Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload & multitask
- Able to build strong working relationships across the business with the rest of the finance team and key stakeholders

Founded in 2009, we have enjoyed consistent levels of profitable growth since inception, primarily through our flagship brand Worktop Express, the UK’s #1 online worktop retailer selling over 220,000 worktops per year to our B2C consumer base.

In 2020 the business joined the €1bn+ global materials division of Broadview Holding (alongside Formica, Westag, Trespa, Arpa and Homapal), and are now looking to invest towards the future. We have significant plans to accelerate our growth over the coming years domestically and internationally, in existing and new product categories, both within Direct Online Services and also in collaboration with our Group colleagues.

Our people are a key area of investment for the business, and we are now looking an Accounts Assistant to join our team and support these exciting growth ambitions, and the challenges that come with an expanding multifaceted business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
