**Job objectives and responsibilities**
- To provide reconciliation and compliance support and guidance to BSC colleagues, finance and the business
- To ensure compliance with legislation and Mitie company policies

**Main duties**
- To support the reconciliation of the WVR/Recharge to the FICO and FPS
- To support the BSC Payroll Teams in trouble-shooting any reconciliation issues
- To reconcile the HMRC payments in current period, to-date and to resolve any historic HMRC reconciliation issues
- To ensure that all HMRC payments are raised, authorised and paid according to agreed deadlines
- To ensure that all payments are allocated correctly on the HMRC online portal
- To investigate queries raised by the HMRC or other 3rd parties
- To reconcile all 3rd party payments and provide reports to support the payments
- To ensure that all 3rd party payments are raised, authorised and paid according to agreed deadlines
- To investigate with the teams any queries or discrepancies raised by fiannce and follow them through to resolution
- To contact employees and liaise with the relevant business areas to recover employee overpayments
- To track overpayments and liaise with finance over their recovery
- To provide support to the business in any fraud investigations
- To support the BSC team in answering queries raised by internal and external auditors
- To support the BSC Compliance Supervisor in reviewing process instructions and checklists for completeness and

relevance and to ensure they are updated in line with operational needs and legislative/policy changes
- To support the BSC Compliance Supervisor in any non-compliance issues in relation to both legislation and company policy Excel Challenge Inspire

- To support the BSC Compliance Supervisor in designing audit-based tests to ensure compliance and for the investigation of potential fraud
- To recommend and ensure adherence to best practice processes
- To provide advice, guidance and training in support of changes to operational practices, legislation or company policy
- Maintaining P11D information and production of P11D's, providing advice and guidance to employees
- Ensure adherence to the customer service charter and lead by example in order to deliver a world class Business Support environment
- Display resilience and ownership in the face of unforeseen business changes and resourcing issues.
- Demonstrate the capability to solve problems, analyse and propose the solutions without waiting to be asked, being led or directed.
- Maintain and demonstrate a sound working knowledge of policies, procedures and systems in order to provide advice/guidance to members of the team on how to process work and assist with non-standard enquiries or situations new to them.
- To support the businesses and create the ad-hoc payroll reports as required.
- To support the businesses and create and distribute the regularly scheduled payroll reports.
- Administer the Mitie Benefit Schemes, ie Childcare Vouchers, SIPS, Sharesave, GAYE, Private Healthcare, Flexible Benefits, Life Cover.
- Administer the Mitie Pension Schemes.

**Person Specification**
- Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independtly on own initiative and also to contribute as part of a team
- Excellent IT skills, including SAP and Microsoft office
- Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
