We are currently searching for an Accounts Administrator to join our friendly team in Hellifield nr Skipton. We’re looking for someone experienced in all aspects of purchase ledger and payroll, using Sage.
Either full-time, or opportunity for part-time on a job share basis.
Experience in working in the construction industry or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
**Role Purpose**:
- To provide support to the Company Accountant including the timely processing of purchase ledger and payroll transactions. General administration duties to support the Directors and other colleagues.
**What we are looking for**:
- A good working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll is essential
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues throughout the organisation and external contacts
- A pro-active and enthusiastic approach
- A teamworker with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
**Key responsibilities**:
- Processing of purchase invoices using Sage 50 Accounts
- Liaising with suppliers regarding invoice queries
- Processing of weekly supplier and sub-contractor BACS payments
- Processing of weekly and monthly payroll, including payment of expenses and mileage
- Costing of site employees’ hours to the relevant projects using information from the app-based clocking-in system
- Management of staff holiday calendar, using an app-based HR platform
- Reconciling P32 and ensuring timely payment of PAYE/NI/CIS liabilities
- Administration of the company’s Auto Enrolment pension scheme
- Reconciliation of company credit cards and petty cash
- General Administration including answering the phone, handling post, office equipment ordering etc.
