The South West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (ODN) has an exciting opportunity two appoint two compassionate individuals to work as Neonatal Care Co-Ordinators.

The South West Neonatal ODN works to ensure that outcome and quality standards are improved within neonatal care, while encouraging continuity and consistency of access to neonatal services.

Care Coordination programmes of work are a key part of national plans to facilitate the development of Family Integrated Care and parental involvement in the care of their baby. The post holders will be integral in driving transformation and implementing initiatives to improve outcomes, reduce mother and baby separation and further develop neonatal service user engagement strategies.

**Job Title**: South West Neonatal ODN Lead Nurse

The key aim of these roles is to work collaboratively across the perinatal pathway to help ensure that parents and the families of sick/preterm infants are supported throughout their journey through neonatal services. This will centre on two main areas:
1. The post holders will work alongside the neonatal team in the SWNODN to maximise the development of family centred and integrated care as a core philosophy. They will do this by supporting the individual neonatal unit’s on-going Family Integrated Care journey while maximising the full potential of each service to advance the regional philosophy and culture of parents as partners in care.
