**National Sales Manager - FMCG**
**Location - Cheshire (territory UK & Ireland)**
We have an exciting opportunity working for a Global market leader within the FMCG sector. We are looking for a highly driven and commercially acute Sales Manager**.**The primary responsibility for the National Sales Manager will be to work closely with the sales team in driving growth across the UK and Ireland. There is a huge focus on maintaining key accounts and building partnerships with high-profile customersin order to achieve business objectives.
**Duties**:
- Achieve territory sales and margin targets. Regularly forecast new business and sales against customer and business objectives on a quarterly basis.
- Develop and implement customer account plans to ensure the existing business is retained at a profitable level
- To deliver sustainable, profitable sales growth against territory targets, through effective account management of existing business and development of new business.
- Strong leadership skills, leading from the front and being a true brand ambassador for the organisation.
- Contract Negotiation - Manage the customer contract process including contract renewal
- Managing and developing the internal sales team to drive best practices in converting opportunities and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Market analysis - responsible for researching the market of competitor activity and market trends allowing adjustments to the sales strategy to be made accordingly.
- Strategy focused - Ensure short, medium and long-term demand forecasts are available on a time to facilitate accurate business planning
- Communicating frequently with the field sales team to help with customer/market segmentation and gathering data to help with future requirements.
- Taking responsibility of Key accounts on a national level, driving organic growth
- Working closely with internal departments ensuring KPI’s are met
- Manage regular and effective service reviews presenting KPI’s in a positive manner with fully prepared backup information.
- Create business plans that reflect strategy for achieving targets and company objectives.
- Manage and own tender submissions in line with company SOP
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external teams to organise customer service review meetings
- Manage both internal and external customers against agreed SLAs and contracts and ensure that your knowledge of all aspects of the service, policies and procedures are kept up to date.
- Act as an intermediary with internal and external teams whilst remaining an advocate for the company at all times.

- Strong commercial acumen who is a strong leader and leads from the front
- Bring a tremendous amount of energy and professionalism to empower the already successful sales team
- Evidence of contract negotiation and closing new business deals
- Pitching and presenting to clients as well as renewing existing contracts
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
- Reporting - Analytical focused who can take full P&L responsibility and produce sales reports to present at senior leadership meetings
- Be able to travel frequently across UK and Ireland
