ABOUT THE ROLE

As an OWN BRAND BUYING ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT, you will support the women’s own brand buying department by managing and owning the critical path and product Purchase Orders.

YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL:

- Own Purchase Order writing, ensure order process is followed, from order through to delivery, ensuring any issues are raised with line manager, and updating relevant system information
- Participate in fit sessions, managing the fit list and supplier samples and taking ownership of writing fit notes for the tech team
- Manage all supplier packages on a daily basis, distributing fabric submissions, strike offs, bulk approvals etc. to the relevant buyer and collating all fit & proto samples for review
- Manage critical paths for all suppliers, acting as the point of contact for the buying team on communication and relaying information on a weekly basis through critical path management between the buyer & supplier
- Partner with the Merchandising team to communicate any delivery issues for all POs and attend weekly delivery schedule meetings
- Attend weekly design & development meetings to range build and plan each season’s assortment across Womenswear categories
- Partner with peers and Merchandising Operations to improve Purchase Order management processes and implement best practices
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with supplier partners on Purchase Order and committed product requests and statuses. Being the daily point of contact for any supplier queries or issues, troubleshooting when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing competitive shopping across the market and present trend research recaps monthly
- Own stock attribution within internal merchandising database using knowledge of fashion, style and garment construction
- Work with cross-functional partners, build relationships and develop a strong understanding of each function in the Buying, Styling, and Merchandising organisations
- Ensure all product information is accurate and up to date
- Partner with Accounting & Warehouse cross functional teams to ensure payments are made in line with PO detail and to manage the movement of stock in and out of the business.

WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE:

- You have a university degree and/or previous experience working in a fashion retail buying/ merchandising environment (own brand buying experience preferable) or previous experience working within an administrative role and managing a critical path
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and enjoy learning new systems quickly
- You are passionate about womenswear and product development specifically, excited at the opportunity to learn about developing a fashion range and range building an assortment, which will surprise and delight the Stitch Fix client
- You are EXTREMELY detail-oriented and organised, holding yourself accountable to accuracy and experienced in prioritizing a workload within a fast-paced environment
- You are excellent at multi-tasking and a creative problem solver
- You are an excellent communicator and are comfortable working with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other external groups
- You thrive at working in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving at a high speed while balancing competing priorities.
- You are confident to raise the flag, anticipate potential issues and push forward with a solution-oriented approach
- You are a positive team player who is able to work independently
