**Water Quality Sampler**

**Salary: Circa £24,800 per annum**

**Hours: 37 hours per week, plus 1 in every 4 week paid standby rota**

**The Role**:

- Collect samples from a range of sources in accordance with regulatory requirements and in-house procedures.
- Produce sample roundsheet and tag labels and register all samples onto the LIMS system.
- Generate a registered list to cross-reference the sample round.
- Work alone, driving an average of 100+ miles per day for multiple site visits.
- Perform on-site chlorine analysis and report chlorine discrepancies in line with internal policies, maintaining instrument calibration.
- Accurately record results and adhere to Analytical Quality Control (AQC) processes, reporting any non-conformities to the manager.
- Provide customer advice and address concerns by collecting relevant samples. Escalate difficult customer complaints to the manager for advice and guidance.
- Report missed samples promptly to the manager and ensure on-site tests are conducted.
- Ensure the proper storage and cleanliness of the vehicle, stocked with appropriate sample bottles.
- Participate in a 24/7 standby rota for events, failures, and customer contacts, collaborating with the Incident Management Team during on-site call-outs. Follow health and safety protocols for manual handling and working at height.
- Identify improvement methods for customer service delivery and escalate to the manager.

**What You’ll Need**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good knowledge of performing various tasks using computer-based information systems.
- A full valid driving license is essential, and a company vehicle will be provided.
- GCSE standard (or equivalent) with experience in a related area would prove advantageous.
